third_no_cla,Daniel Roethlisberger,<daniel@roe.ch>,no;will,German translation and rules. 2002-08-27. http://bugzilla.spamassassin.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2672 declined,Hans-Dieter Stich,<hdstich@hdstich.com>,sent,German translation; 2002-04-14. said 'just do with me translation files whta you want;i'm not interested in them anymore!' http://bugzilla.spamassassin.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2706 *** Bug 2706 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Subject: Re: [SAdev] license: drop German translations I hope this doesn't mean the translation file 30_text_de.cf will get dropped. I did a bit of work on the outdated version shipped with 2.55 for SA 2.60 (128 lines vs 970 lines). ciao Klaus Hi Klaus -- unfortunately, it does; since we're missing 2 contributors, and 1 actively doesn't want to sign the CLA, we'll have to drop the file, since we can't really tell who really "wrote" what pieces of text. Probably the best thing to do is grab the changes you made, and then write the rest of the translation from scratch. :( OK, I've taken the file out of 2.70 cvs. Klaus, if you want, we can replace it with a file provided by you containing translations from *just* you and other people who've signed CLAs (ie. a "clean room" translation). This has slipped a bit on the priority list but I think I can work on
this until the weekend.
ciao

Bear in mind this is 2.70 CVS, not 2.61, so priority isn't too high ;)
Thanks,

Subject: Re: [SAdev] license: drop German translations Hi, I have done the following: - Removed text for all 81 rules from 30_text_de.cf which were present in 1.37 (the version just before my update was added 2003-07-06). 9 rules were dropped completely from 1.37 to 1.38, leaving 72 rule texts to replace. - Readded translation for 52 rules which IMO changed enough from 1.37 to 1.38 to not be considered made by HD Stich. For some translations it could be argued about the difference, but what can you expect from a translation of short sentences/phrases between somewhat related languages like English and German? - This left 20 rules where I tried to find a new translation. Should I submit the file for all 3 steps or just the end result? Maybe you want to have a trail of the changes I made in CVS. ciao Klaus Subject: Re: license: drop German translations

Hi Klaus --
Could you attach both? ;)
If you have copies of the 3 steps, please attach them for a trail,
that'd be great. But then, it'll be easier to apply as a drop-in
replacement.
thanks!

Created attachment 1607 [details] 30_text_de.cf with rules from Klaus Heinz (no other contributor, only a bit of advice concerning English phrases from people on spamassassin-talk and spamassassin-devel-de lists) Work started with revision 1.38 of rules/30_text_de.cf as a reference. Removed text for rules which were present in the SA repository before my version (r 1.38) was checked in (ie all rules from SA revision 1.37) These rules were dropped from SA r1.37 to r1.38 and are missing here as well: BAD_HELO_WARNING, FOR_INSTANT_ACCESS, MSGID_SPAMSIGN_1, RCVD_IN_ORBS, RCVD_IN_OSIRU_SPAMWARE_SITE, RCVD_IN_RELAYS_ORDB_ORG, RCVD_IN_VISI, SUBJ_FULL_OF_8BITS, YAHOO_MSGID_ADDED Created attachment 1608 [details]
next step: readd rule translations which were already different enough
Added rule texts again which were different enough from those in SA r1.37 (ie,
I had changed them already
from r.137 to r1.38)
Created attachment 1609 [details]
new translations for the remaining 20 rules
Created attachment 1610 [details] drop-in replacement for 30_text_de.cf RCVD_IN_OSIRU* (revision 1.39) and FORGED_MUA_THEBAT (revision 1.40) removed. Rules from contributor Anirvan Chatterjee (revision 1.41) _not_ touched since his rules were reinstated. excellent-- applied. Thanks very much, Klaus! |
