Description David Muir Sharnoff 2006-04-16 04:24:34 UTC
I run a bunch of spamds (10 currently). I would like to be able to fail-over
past busy nodes more quickly. To do this, I need to be able to set the depth of
the listen queue to something small. With a large listen queue, I end up with
hundreds of spamc's waiting for the same busy spamd.

Yes, a load-balancer would also do the trick.

Thanks,
-Dave

btw, the idea is sound -- a command line switch to spamd would be most
appropriate. if a patch was supplied it may be possible to get it into 3.2.0.
Comment 2 Justin Mason 2010-01-27 02:20:55 UTC
moving most remaining 3.3.0 bugs to 3.3.1 milestone
Comment 3 Justin Mason 2010-01-27 03:16:38 UTC
reassigning, too
Comment 4 Justin Mason 2010-03-23 16:33:52 UTC
moving all open 3.3.1 bugs to 3.3.2
Comment 5 Karsten Bräckelmann 2010-03-23 17:42:55 UTC
Moving back off of Security, which got changed by accident during the mass Target Milestone move.
Comment 6 Kevin A. McGrail 2013-06-21 16:08:26 UTC
Moving all open bugs where target is defined and 3.4.0 or lower to 3.4.1 target
Comment 7 Kevin A. McGrail 2015-04-12 15:29:02 UTC
Good idea but no code to implement and most people use load balancers, etc. Pushing to 3.4.2
Comment 8 Kevin A. McGrail 2018-09-04 15:29:07 UTC
Pushing again to future and not a specific version. Without code, unlikely to get picked up.
