[rfe] add habeas support to whitelist
Last modified: 2003-04-05 03:19:55 UTC
Habeas is a company and activist effort by which mailing lists can declare themselves "not spam" by placing a trademarked haiku in the header. If they lie, they are sued for trademark infringement. I have e-mailed my mailing lists that use double opt-in encouraging them to use this technique, but spam assassin does not appear to support it. Can anyone help with this?
This has been supported (by default) since 2.40! I'm assuming you read the slashdot story... but you evidently missed the link to the page explaining that "support for Habeas SWE has been built in to SpamAssassin version 2.40, so that there is no need to manually configure SpamAssassin to work with Habeas SWE if you are using version 2.40 or later"
By the way, I've seen a few folks using *some* of the Habeas headers and wondering why SA doesn't support that. Make sure you're using all 10 of the headers, and do not reformat them; as Habeas explains, you have to use them exactly verbatim to gain the benefits (for legal reasons, apparently).
