"ADDR_FREE From Address contains FREE" detects wrongly free.fr
Last modified: 2005-05-24 14:53:03 UTC
free.fr is one of the main Internet Access Providers in France. SpamAssassin should not detect the word "free" in this context as a clue of spam.
Agree with the above comment. My current corpus includes 17 ham from free.fr. However, none of those 17 ham hit the ADDR_FREE rule: header ADDR_FREE From =~ /\b(?-i:F)ree(?-i:[ A-Z]).*</i I believe that's because of the capital F requirement above. This would allow the rule to hit on FREE.FR as a domain name. Is that the case in your hit? You didn't attach a sample.
Triage: Since no response in over a month and a half, and since my free.fr emails don't hit the rule, closing as WORKSFORME. Can be reopened if someone provides an example where this rule hits.
