Description Dave Hill 2005-04-21 05:39:57 UTC
I've seen Spamassassin take exception to people trying to mask certain words in
the subject, but it didn't have any trouble at all with the following subject
line:

Trading alert f0r significant shareh0|der value

A rule to contribute a point for each occurance of substitute characters such
as 0 1 | ! and of course extended ASCII embedded in or adjacent to text in the
subject would be appropriate. In this example there are three substitute
characters embedded in text. That would be three points for a subject such as
this example. Simply mis-typing a zero instead of an o would only contribute
one point to an email.

The subject line in this example is very obviously spam and should score at
least some points.

Marking as duplicate of bug 4265, since resolution of 4265 will answer the
"numbers" problem as well.
