Description raanders 2002-06-20 08:17:04 UTC
When running nmap (on Redhat Linux 7.x+) system against a system running spamd
incorrect name for the service for that port comes back.

Also port is unassigned with IANA.

http://www.iana.org/cgi-bin/sys-port-number.pl notes:

In order to obtain a system port number you need to have a specification
documented in the form of an RFC, an Internet-Draft that is intended to be
published as an RFC, or a permanently and readily available reference that the
IETF could standardize if it chose to.

argh ;)

Unlikely to get around to writing and submitting an RFC for such a narrow
protocol any time soon.
