Description Nick Taylor 2002-07-11 07:12:45 UTC
We are sending out perfectly legitimate solicited emails containing lists of
vehicles for sale which happen to be in caps. Apparently our emails are being
flagged as spam for 4 reasons:
2 caps words in one line - Couldn't actually find out where.
Click below - Yes we include http links, this isn't a crime
Freephone number - Neither is this.
Upper Case 25-50% - I don't think this necessarily constitutes spam. In our case
it would be very difficult to convert our data to mixed case in a sane way.

This gives us a score of 5.2 where the spam filter is set to 5.

I think that this spam filter is making some very unfair assumptions about the
nature of spam.

Thanks in advance for you comments.

Nick

We really need you to attach an example email.

By "attach", I mean as an attachment through bugzilla, not cut-and-paste and
not via electronic mail.

Thanks.

It's been two weeks since I made my request for an example email.

Can you please attach an example email to the bug report you submitted?
By "attach", I mean use the "Create a new attachment" link to upload an
example email so tabs and other special characters are preserved correctly.

It might also be good to know which version of SpamAssassin is causing you
problems.
