SA Bugzilla – Bug 595
Spam Assissin is tagging our email validation messages as spam and preventing users who requested them from receiving them.
Last modified: 2015-04-07 12:57:40 UTC
Spamex is a Disposable Email Address Service. Upon creating an acocunt or adding a new real email address to an existing account, an email is sent to the provided email address to confirm that it does in fact go to the person in question. SpamAssassin is scoring the message quite high and causing the messages to be filtered. Is there any way to resolve this other than our changing our copy? Note, a copy of the email can be received by registering for a trial account at the website, http://www.spamex.com The headers are as follows SpamAssassin: -Spam-Status: Yes, hits=5.8 required=5.0 tests=NO_REAL_NAME,CLICK_BELOW,EXCUSE_16,FREQ_SPAM_PHRASE, SPAM_PHRASES_020 version=2.31 X-Spam-Flag: YES X-Spam-Level: ***** X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 2.31 (devel $Id: SpamAssassin.pm,v 1.94.2.2 2002/06/20 17:20:29 hughescr Exp $) X-Spam-Report: 5.8 hits, 5 required; * 0.5 -- From: does not include a real name * 1.5 -- BODY: Asks you to click below * -0.7 -- BODY: I wonder how many emails they sent in error... * 2.4 -- Contains phrases frequently found in spam [score: 20, hits: click below, email address,] [please click, received this, thank you, that] [you, this email, you for, you must, your] [email] * 2.1 -- spam-phrase score is over 20 and the message is as follows: Thank you for registering with the Spamex Disposable Email Address Service.
