SA Bugzilla – Bug 6054
Whitelist / blacklist and Tagging options have bad mailto:'s
Last modified: 2022-04-22 05:57:13 UTC
I believe that there are several cases where the documentation includes incorrect anchor tags of the form: mailto:add@ress.com For example: whitelist_from add@ress.com unwhitelist_from add@ress.com whitelist_from_rcvd addr@lists.sourceforge.net sourceforge.net def_whitelist_from_rcvd addr@lists.sourceforge.net sourceforge.net whitelist_allows_relays add@ress.com unwhitelist_from_rcvd add@ress.com.. Perhaps a global change simular to: s/<a href=mailto:add@ress.com">add@ress.com<\/a>/address.com/ and s/<a href=mailto:add@lists.sourceforge.net">add@lists.sourceforge.net<\/a>/lists.sourceforge.net/ would corect most of them. Thank you.
I'm sure whoever owns ress.com does not appreciate those examples. Isn't best practice to use example.com when using an example domain?
(In reply to comment #1) > I'm sure whoever owns ress.com does not appreciate those examples. Isn't best > practice to use example.com when using an example domain? yes. The original reporter however is talking about something else -- the pod2html output appears to have linkified those addresses. is that right?
I suppose there are actually 2 problems here. 1) http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/spamassassin/site/full/3.2.x/doc/Mail_SpamAssassin_Conf.html is ugly! 2) perhaps pod2html needs a correction. If you think pod2html needs a correction please bug it as I am not qualified to do so.
Err, yeah, well -- what about looking at the actual docs then, rather than a raw SVN dump? Does that look ok to you? http://spamassassin.apache.org/full/3.2.x/doc/Mail_SpamAssassin_Conf.html Anyway, Dennis, you didn't answer the question. What is it you are actually about in this bug report? The fact that the email addresses are links at all, and should rather be plain text instead?
These should be plain text
Doesn't seem to be an issue anymore, closing.
