Description Cindy Vorauer 2013-09-26 22:04:54 UTC
I keep getting the following response when I send out a mass email to my employees:

The following recipient(s) cannot be reached:

      alexf.santos@gmail.com on 9/26/2013 5:54 PM
554 sorry, Spam detected by SpamAssassin (#5.3.4)

Why is this happening?

The SA bug tracker is not the appropriate venue for this.

Please ask this question on the SA Users mailing list, and provide a
complete copy (including all headers) of a message that was rejected,
ideally by uploading it to pastebin.com and sending the URL for that to
the mailing list.

If the analysis of the problem determines that it's due to a bug in SA, *then* a bug report will be opened.

Cindy, while people on the users@ list *might* be able to help after seeing a sample that gets rejected, the list actually is not the best place to resolve your issue. Depending on where exactly your mail is classified as spam, your primary contacts are

(a) the intended recipient, or his system administrator, and
(b) your own system administrator.

Point being: The SA team develops the software. We are not responsible for using the software on your or your contacts' mail servers, even less so for any action taken based on the classification.

Additionally, you might want to have a look at our FAQ [1], in particular the section "I'm not a spammer!", for further input.
