If you insert an image (I used Kupu) then the path to the image references the
authoring area whilst in authoring area - fine.

If you submit the page through the workflow and make it live, then when viewing
the page in the live area the iamge still points to the authoring are.

I would expect that the live area has its own copy of the image that was used
when the page was approved and pages in the live area only point to images in
the live area . At the moment you can now change the image in the authoring area
and this will affect the live area.

Haven't been able to check 1.4 so don't know if this behaviour manifests itself
their too.

Its not clear, but I am talking about images that have been uploaded to other
pages and not to the page being edited.

In 1.4, the UuidToUrlTransformer takes care of that.
