The whole CMS GUI needs a usability review. The "Site" and "Authoring" tabs may
be combined. Add current Authoring "Display" and "Edit Content" as tabs on
Site. Combine most tabs for vertical Form rather than many tabs. Move "Change
Node Visibility" to Field on page.

The basic concept is to show as much as possible on one screen. Vertical
scrolling is fine. One Save button takes care of everything. Reduce menus as
much as possible. Use "tabs" to switch between "Info" (everything on META
Workflow, Security, and Schedule tabs), "Edit (Kupu)", "Edit (BXE)", "Display".

I mentioned in another report that Assets should be controlled by publication,
not pages. They should appear on a top-level tab that shows each Asset and
which pages use it.

the gui has been reworked since this bug was filed. combining "site" and
"authoring" tabs has huge implications for the area concept (i'm with you in
that i think it should be dropped) and should be discussed elsewhere.

i'm totally and utterly opposed to vertical scrolling btw :)

i'm closing the bug now, if somebody disagrees, let's discuss the stuff on the
mailing list some more, preferably after 1.4 is out.
