Description Felix Schumacher 2012-02-11 09:34:32 UTC
Created attachment 28302 [details] remove mentioning of ldap.jar I think jndi and the containing ldap driver is contained in every jre at least since jdk 1.4.x, so we don't need to advise anyone to copy ldap.jar into $CATALINA_HOME/lib.

Another thanks, Felix. Applied to trunk (r1243034), tc 7 (r1243045), tc 6 (r1243047) and tc 5.5 (r1243047). I also removed mentioning jndi.jar in another docs page in r1243047 (also backported). I did not remove those refernces from the TC 5.5 build system, because although they seem to be not actually used I didn'T want to risk breaking the TC 5.5 build so close to EOL. Regards, Rainer

(In reply to comment #1) > I did not remove those refernces from the TC 5.5 build system, because although > they seem to be not actually used I didn'T want to risk breaking the TC 5.5 > build so close to EOL. Fair enough, but I'd have no objections to removing them.
