https://downloads.apache.org/httpd/binaries/netware/ contains version 2.4.10; however the current version is 2.4.46 https://downloads.apache.org/httpd/binaries/win32/ does not appear to contain anything still useful. https://downloads.apache.org/httpd/binaries/ should be removed. PING? The single useful item in the entire binaries/win32 tree is from readme, just need to identify a logical place under http://httpd.apache.org/ to track this single item; Popular options for deploying Apache httpd, and, optionally, PHP and MySQL, on Microsoft Windows, include: ```

ApacheHaus

Apache Lounge

BitNami WAMP Stack

WampServer

XAMPP

``` Every other nugget of wisdom appears to exist somewhere in the docs or is so absurdly dated to be now irrelevant. For historical reference, whatever was under this tree is cataloged in version control, https://dist.apache.org/repos/dist/release/httpd/binaries/ and although there's no viewvc I'm aware of, it's all there to review again even after that resource disappears from downloads.a.o/httpd/binaries. There's also direct view of the last state of any removed directory README's and all history available at; http://archive.apache.org/dist/httpd/binaries/ so really nothing at all is lost. Sebb, I'd leave this ticket open to track adding information from dist to the website, but for now, just make it so and svn rm. |
