Description Nikhil Gupte 2002-06-24 21:07:37 UTC
I was browsing the file -
$Header:
/home/cvspublic/jakarta-taglibs/datetime/src/org/apache/taglibs/datetime/FormatTag.java,v
1.11 2002/04/06 18:10:51 glenn Exp $

and noticed that doStartTag() and doAfterBody() were final. I needed to
customize this class but couldn't cos those methods were declared as final. I
feel if this wern't the case, the lib would be more useful.

Regards,
Nikhil Gupte

The code is designed as a finished tag library, not as an API for reuse.
This won't be changed. If you have specific features you would
like to see please submit a request (with a patch to implement
the new features if possible).
