I compiled apache 2.0.54 with ssl from sources on windows like this:
http://www.devside.net/web/server/windows/apache-ssl-deflate
I don't load the ssl module and neither the deflate module.
when I try to download a file from my new installed http server the file gets
corrupted; this happens for small or big files.

This is an FAQ.  See (for example) the other bug report, saying the fix should 
be a default setting.
