Description Minehiko IIDA 2007-02-27 17:27:49 UTC
RFC2616 (10.3.3 302 Found) says as follows:

  Unless the request method was HEAD, the entity of the
  response SHOULD contain a short hypertext note with a hyperlink to
  the new URI(s).

In case HTTP redirect response is created without sendRedirect,
servlet developers are responsible for its header and body.
However, when calling sendRedirect, body with a hyperlink
should be included in the response.

Should == optional == enhancement
Comment 2 Mark Thomas 2011-08-11 08:32:15 UTC
Fixed in trunk and 7.0.x and will be included in 7.0.21 onwards.

I do not plan on back-porting this to 5.5.x and 6.0.x.
