Description Nicolas Mailhot 2007-04-01 05:00:12 UTC
When using mod_proxy on small LANs it would be nice to be able to do transparent
proxying (including on the proxy server)

ie tell the firewall/routing engine on the gateway "redirect all traffic to
selected internet ports through mod_proxy"

For this to work one needs to be able to distinguish internet traffic emitted by
mod_proxy from traffic emitted by other apps on the gateway. But right now it's
not possible to fix the source port used by mod_proxy, which kills the whole scheme

Marking this as duplicate as 44806 is asking for the same feature and it contains more information.
