Description Mihael Vrbanec 2007-12-20 04:58:50 UTC
The methods for accessing the table cells etc should take ints instead of shorts
because Java's handling of shorts is really broken. There are many hidden type
conversions going on with primitives other than int and double in Java.
Try this code for example:
short b;
short a;
short c = a + b;

The conversion should be hidden from the API-user as ints are much more natural
for a Java programmer and less error and confusion prone.

Would be an immense amount of work, unlikely to happen unless someone new is
willing to contribute the code
