Description Tianyin Xu 2012-03-01 19:48:19 UTC
in httpd-2.4.1, if you configure like
#./configure -dfdfdfdfd

the software will tell you that:

configure: error: unrecognized option: `-dfdfdfdfd'
Try `./configure --help' for more information

which is really good system response.

But, if you type like
#./configure --with-dfdfdfdfd

the software keeps silent and just does configuration using default settings, which is really a bad system response.

Is it possible to add some checks which can avoid a lot of human mistakes such as typos?

Thanks!
