Description Tom Payerle 2012-04-19 14:22:52 UTC
In reference to:
http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.4/rewrite/intro.html
(and also 2.2 version)

In Rewrite Rules Basics section, it states that the substitution can be one of
1) full filesystem path to resource
2) web path to resource
3) an absolute url.

For 1 & 2, the example is confusing because the same syntax is behaving differently. It would be useful to mention that 1) example is treated as
a filesystem path BECAUSE the topmost part of the substitution location exists on the filesystem, and (2) is treated as web path because it does not.
