Report/Dashboard feature requires this property to be saved to be able to build correctly the Errors table.

Indeed if this property is false, then only Http Request errors will be counted and assertions will not appear.

I think anyway that besides this , having this property true is very useful:

    In case user users Transaction Controller and has checked "Generate Parent Sampler", it's the only way to have useful information in the CSV file
    In case he uses Transaction Controller
