Description tlhackque 2019-04-23 13:46:58 UTC
The ErrorDocument description at http://httpd.apache.org/docs/trunk/mod/core.html#errordocument

refers to

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q294807

This hyperlink is no longer valid, and brings up a generic Microsoft Support page.

I didn't do an extensive search, but what I did find was dated.

If the "error document is too small to display due to 'friendly error' browser option" issue still exists (or if you want to document this as a historical restriction), the reference needs to be updated - or the complete information included in the httpd docs.

I did find the original KB article on the wayback machine:

https://web.archive.org/web/20140114040526/http://support.microsoft.com/kb/294807

Note: This is true for all versions of the docs - 2.4 & trunk, as well as older.

If Microsoft removed this behavior, the current comments can be deleted
in their entirety.

If they have not removed this behavior, a current citation is needed.
I guess an archive article satisfies this, but would be confusing to
modern MS engineers.
