Here is a release anouncement: https://httpd.apache.org/dev/dist/Announcement2.4.html Where can I find this version?
The /dev/dist/ area is not for public use but instead for community development purposes. Version 2.4.42 was tagged and a release vote started, but it turned out to have a showstopper bug. So 2.4.42 will not be released. Instead a few minutes ago the release vote for 2.4.43 started. It will take a few days before that release will be final (assuming we don't find another showstopper bug), distributed to the mirrors and get publicly announced.
Thanks for the clarification.
