When calling https://api.github.com/repos/apache/httpd/releases, nothing is returned; however, the releases page appears: https://github.com/apache/httpd/releases I also looked at http://projects.apache.org/json/ for release information for apache. Is there a file, api or something that is considered the "gold" place to get releases for apache http server.
The /releases page is simply a list of tarballs which github produces for every tag which exists in the repo and AFAIK can't be hidden - though I would prefer that we could hide it. The tags are (as expected) mirrored from tags in the master Subversion repository.
Sorry hit enter too soon. The archive of all release tarballs is at http://archive.apache.org/dist/httpd/
Where is the recommended source of truth for apache httpd releases? (i.e if not https://api.github.com/repos/apache/httpd/releases)
And thankyou for the quick response. As you did, I didn't realize you specified: http://archive.apache.org/dist/httpd/. Do you know if there is a place where the release info is available and perhaps when it was available? (i.e. something similar to https://api.github.com/repos/apache/httpd/releases
