Thanks for the report, this should be fixed in trunk. Can you test the next nightly/trunk build (https://jmeter.apache.org/nightly.html)?

When checking the Assertion results, for HTML Assertion, using the Site WWW,google.com
getting this basic issue
And have checked on every browser version 5.3, 5.4
