in 6.0beta2:

The auto generated code from the Desktop App wizard creates a bunch of stuff for status bar initialization, under the 
comment:
// status bar initialization - message timeout, idle icon and busy animation, etc

It would be cleaner if this initialization is put in it's own method, and this method collapsed in the editor
(surrounded by 
// <editor-fold defaultstate="collapsed" desc="Satus Bar initialization"> 
// </editor-fold>
)

Perhaps should also collapse "showAboutBox()"

OK, if you put the code in a method, then you'll get an error since the variables are declared final, but at minimum, 
please surround this block of code with editor-fold.

I'm not sure you really need to declare these variables final though.
