Often people have problems during installation that could be easily solved by rm -rf $HOME/.nbi, as documented by the Wiki, but often don't find it and ask 
to the mailing list. So, I suggest putting something such as "Please look at http://nbi.netbeans.org/docs/faq.html#cleaning" (with a clickable link) in the error 
popup.
