Description Peter Pis 2008-04-02 07:17:48 UTC
Product Version: NetBeans IDE Dev (Build 200803311426)
Java: 1.6.0_10-beta; Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM 11.0-b11
System: Windows XP version 5.1 running on x86; Cp1252; en_GB (nb)
Userdir: D:\ide\user

Steps:
1. Open versioned controlled project (under "CVS")
2. Create new text file and add is as binary.
3. Modify it.
4. Side bar annotations are shown.

For binary files side bar shouldn't be shown.
Comment 1 Maros Sandor 2008-04-02 09:21:16 UTC
I disagree, that would be unnecessary limitation of functionality. If a file can be open in editor, it can as well have
the sidebar.
Comment 2 Peter Pis 2008-04-02 09:36:36 UTC
Then why "CVS | Diff" shows only <binary content>? Diff should be shown only for text files, IMHO.
Comment 3 Peter Pis 2008-04-11 08:31:21 UTC
Once the file is binary, it should be treated as binary. Reopening.
