Description davelane 2008-05-02 15:08:17 UTC
Most of our Developers are used to Eclipse. The feature that they miss the most is 'Link with Editor'. In Eclipse when
this is switched on, the file that is currently being viewed with be selected in the Projects pane. On switching to a
different file the project pane is automatically updated.

There is even an experimental plugin to address this issue. It would however make sense to build this into the core GUI.

reassigning to core/window system
Comment 2 David Simonek 2008-09-04 08:50:03 UTC
Enhancement for projects, not for window system. We already have "Select document in Project" action (Ctrl+Shift+1). So
it is about creating optional "linked" mode in which such selection is invoked automatically as user is switching
between documents.
