Ruby Gems tool (Tools >> Ruby Gems) error is displayed in popup window which may contain lot of text.

It would be usefull if I can select and copy text to clipboard, but I can't do it now.  Ability to copy error text would
be usefull to following bug reports :) In my case (screenshot attached), I have some trouble with proxy.

Example of text which can be selected is in window Help >> About. Text "NetBeans IDE and NetBeans Platform are based on
software..." can be selected and copied to clipboard.

Yes, that's true. Otherwise the same text might be found in the message log. $NB_USER_DIR/var/log/messages.log or "Menu
| View | IDE Log", from where you might copy-paste. But still valid RFE.
