XML family of modules can use some shared settings. These setting need to be
managed by XML core. A model used at editor module or VCS family of modules can
be used. The editor one is more suitable as it also has to manage settings
hiearchy that is assigned by a selector (MIME content type). On other hand I am
not sure if editors settings scope. It is probably entire session not a current
project.
