Hope to find a visual designer NB plugin for JavaFX.
See JFXBuilder as a good example of what could be done :

Definitly needed and I think this very important for the success of JavaFX.

It should use existing Palette-, Properties-Framework etc.

And make sure that the round trip with Project Nile (with UI designers) works!

I think this is a very important enhancement request, which should not get lost in P3 requests -> P2

If you don't agree, feel free to reset the priority.
Comment 4 Anton Chechel 2009-04-02 12:27:02 UTC
I agree. It will be implemented when we will have resources.

This is already being worked on. Sun will be releasing a beta of the visual design tool at JavaOne 2009 (June). Here
is a sign that they are working on a visual design tool: http://blogs.sun.com/tor/entry/new_job Plus, as a member of
the NetBeans Dream Team I've seen a roadmap that shows the design tool.

Now that Larry Ellison is onboard with his extremely enthusiastic support for JavaFX I expect that there will be plenty
of resources allocated to the development of the JavaFX Designer (aka JavaFX GUI Builder). The designer tool would not
be complete without support for adding/editing/removing animations and effects. I see from the official JavaFX roadmap
that the Designer tool will be included as part of the JavaFX 2.0 SDK release (sometime during the second half of 2009),
or an earlier release of the SDK (which is what happened with the inclusion of the UI controls lib - released with
version 1.2 instead of 1.5).
Comment 8 David Strupl 2011-05-16 13:49:17 UTC
Closing all bugs filed against JavaFX 1.x as wontfix. We will support JavaFX 2.0 - please keep opened only bugs against the new release. Thanks.
