Description Jesse Glick 2011-09-06 13:55:13 UTC
I normally disable the editor toolbar to save screen space. But then Toggle Rectangular Selection is available only via keyboard shortcut, and there is no visual indication whether it is on or not. Generally all functionality available in toolbars should also be available in other ways.

One improvement would be to add an annotation like "RECT" to the editor status line when enabled.

Another would be to display a (toggle) menu item in the Edit menu.

Jano, should I add "RECT" field to the status line or do some other indication? Thanks.

This old bug may not be relevant anymore. If you can still reproduce it in 8.2 development builds please reopen this issue.

Thanks for your cooperation,

If I'm not wrong, this feature request is not implemented yet in latest development build available today (netbeans-trunk-nightly-201607100002-php-windows-x64.exe).
