Description misterm 2013-01-10 11:02:44 UTC
If a JPA entity contains a field mapped to a column with no setters but the field is somehow attributed, it shouldn't be considered an unused field, as its value will be in fact persisted. Product Version = NetBeans IDE Dev (Build 20130110-1f77a08481ab) Operating System = Windows 7 version 6.1 running on amd64 Java; VM; Vendor = 1.7.0_01 Runtime = Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM 21.1-b02

It's another use case where I need to know if I can affect general hints or override general behavior. But also jpa hints itself are quite limited. Also with more and more hints in each release similar issues may reappear in ee area.

I am cc'ing Honza Lahoda as the owner of the core Java hints, who may know.

Report from old NetBeans version. Due to code changes since it was reported likely not reproducible now. Feel free to reopen if happens in 8.0.2 or 8.1.

This old bug may not be relevant anymore. If you can still reproduce it in 8.2 development builds please reopen this issue. Thanks for your cooperation, NetBeans IDE 8.2 Release Boss
