More and more projects are using Vagrant and Puppet. NetBeans had Ruby support in older versions - NOTE! I'm not asking for full Ruby support here - and it might not be to hard to add basic syntax highlighting again for any of the upcoming NetBeans versions.

By default the syntax highlighting should be applied to .pp and .rb files, but especially to any [Vv]agrantfile.

I added the feature (syntax highlight for Vagrantfile) to Vagrant plugin[1].
But we also have to install Ruby plugin[2] to enable the feature.

This old bug may not be relevant anymore. If you can still reproduce it in 8.2 development builds please reopen this issue.

Thanks for your cooperation,

Ruby syntax highlighting (of Vagrantfiles) is still lacking in NetBeans IDE Build 201608230002. I installed the Ruby plugin mentioned in this bug, and the Vagrantfile still lacked syntax highlighting. I then installed the Vagrant plugin, and that combination resulted in syntax highlighting for the Vagrantfile.
