Description jvence 2014-07-16 07:38:04 UTC
Increasing the font of the editor (either thru the command line or the editor settings) to a large font make the editor slow and unusable on a Mac (with 8Gb). This seems to have gotten worse in version 8.

We did not reproduce the problem yet on Macbook Pro machines (both with regular and Retina displays) so
1) Could you please confirm that it does not happen in previous NB releases before 8.0 (on the same jdk)?
2) Have you installed a new jdk recently?
Thanks.

I am running NB 8.0 on an iMac with 8GB of memory. I have done a clean re-install of my OS recently and have installed NB 8. I can confirm that there was always some slowness when the font was increased but not it's just unusable.

I have the same problem on my iMac 10.9.5 (Mavericks) with Java SE 8 Update 65 and Netbeans 8.0.2. When I increase the coding font to bigger than 14 the editor get very slow. On the Windows 7-System 64 bit (DE) also with the same Java/Netbeans-Environment works everything well.
