There are 2 issues:
* if you have a pom.xml open in the Graph view, the options under the "Tools" menu are not consistent with the other views of the pom.xml: "Analyze Javadoc" and "Add to Palette..." should be replaced with "Apply Diff Patch...", "Diff" and "Add to Favorites"
* suppose you have 2 open files, 1 of which is a pom.xml open in the Graph view. If you select the other file, do "Tools" -> "Diff", then the pom.xml is not available in the "Files Open in Editor" list

This old bug may not be relevant anymore. If you can still reproduce it in 8.2 development builds please reopen this issue.
