According to the expected result user should be informed about no results. Meanwhile user is not informed and the right pane stays unchanged. Actually nothing is happening except the OS plays warning sound.

I guess, some development fix is required in javahelp. The message can read as follows: "No data found."
Otherwise an f1 topic with the same message can be created if you let me know the respective help id.

This is probably duplicate of bug 50077.
I'm afraid JavaHelp still doesn't support this.
