Another crash today
Just this morning restored Netbeans window (it was minimized) and clicked on the output tab. It crashed.
I understand, that it is probably not a Netbeans but JDK issue. You might forward it to the Oracle Java development team. However, the one thing should definitely done on Netbeans, i.e. an update of a list of files and projects opened. Thus, when restarted, Netbeans will open my recent files and projects, not ones that I was working few weeks ago. I've been having this exact issue for quite some time. I even just had my box rebuilt to make sure it wasn't anything else on my system. I set up Netbeans 8.2 on it yesterday. It crashed once yesterday and twice this morning. Once this morning all I was doing was switching from one project group to another. This was with Java SE Development Kit 8u111. Updating to 8u112, but I'm not holding my breath. (In reply to miss_v from comment #7) I've had it crash when it has been sitting idle for an hour or more in a background window. Netbeans keep crashing on MAC OSX with sad regularity.
For over a year there is no movement for this bug resolution.
