This is becoming a really annoying problem for me. I am forced to use Netbeans every day in work, and as much as I "love" the unrefined user interface, and general issues typical to 95% of all Java apps, there is just one problem I really can't put aside.

When "Insert Closing Brackets Automatically" is unchecked for "All Languages", you would expect that is is now disabled. For *ALL* languages.

When explicitly typing every character correctly for a @media query, the syntax errors you see in the screenshot are a result of the malfunctioning of the bracket/brace autocomplete. But that is a whole different issue on it's own, which I have reported before, too.

I just want to turn it off. It does nothing for me except get in the way constantly. I'm a web developer, I write CSS/SCSS a lot, so I encounter this problem many, many times every day.

Do you not think this should be fixed? If not, please tell me why. Don't leave me in the dark like everybody else.
