From the recent dev editions I've noticed that when I enter text into the "Find" search textbox (ctrl+f) while on the editor, now (?) it distinguishes between accented and unaccented characters.

For instance, a search for "valenciĆ " wouldn't find "valencia" in the editor and the other way around. This is counter-intuitive and a behaviour that you won't find in any other text editor. For instance, CTRL+f to search for strings in a webpage on Google Chrome doesn't take into account as a difference.

I would said that in the previous stable versions that never happened. Very annoying.
