This is a general (umbrella) issue for the work I
plan to do on the platform. I will make sub-issues
for this issue to track progress.

I plan to create private branch for the issues this issue depends on.
The name of the branch will be platform_32247. Some of the patches
will be applicable for the trunk, some might even get to some release
branch, while others might stay only in the platform_32247 branch.

Tondo, I am sorry but I don't update this issue, in the last 2 releases I use it
only for the branch names platform_32247-XXX where XXX is 41, 50 and when the
time will come if something does not work for us 60.
