i'd like this feature too - very much! i have one more suggestion: this jsp-editor should also be capable, to fill in jsp-texts stored in .properties-files in preview-/wysisyg-mode. It would be nice feature. Netbeans would benefit from visual editor. I am using Sun Java Studio Creator for one of my projects and visual editor comes very handy for quick prototyping. I think CSS really makes things easier for placing html and jsp elements in visual editor. I would certainly want JSF visual support coupled with this effort as well. Netbeans has the best Java Swing visual editor, time to move that expertise to the enterprise level! It would also be nice to add support for struts/jstl as well. I think that some things "inhaled" from Sun Java Studio Creator is so good. ;) I am netbeans user forced to use IBM RAD (a flavor of Eclipse) at a gig. Among all the things I dislike it, I find their JSP preview to be very helpful. It's not even "editable". But simply being able to preview what the page will look like without starting the web container is so nice to have. It shows JSF managed bean backed properties as {someBackingProperty} on the preview page; all other HTML markup is rendered as if they are shown in a web server. -Qingtian *** Issue 167378 has been marked as a duplicate of this issue. *** http://www.netbeans.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=169820 You can vote here too.
