Hi,

I have a hard time remembering port numbers. The Edit CVS root window (as a result of 'import'), should automatically populate (or provide somehwere) the default port number for pserver.

At the very least, if it IS optional (and will use default otherwise), that should be stated. I want to leave it blank, but I don't know what would happen.

Perhaps the exaples listed on the CVS Root page should show a port number, if it's required.

Port number is not required in this case and the field may be left blank.

Perhaps the word "optional" should be placed near the field to reduce any
potential confusion.

I donĀ“t think it is necessary to point out that the port number is optional.
The dialog does not allow you to continue if required fields are left blank (OK button is disabled), but you can
continue without problem, even if the port number is not specified.

However, I am changing this to request for enhancement. If there is a support for this from the community, the priority
may eventually increase.
