the document "XTest Architecture Overview", written by Martin Brehovsky and 
Martin Balin, and found here - http://xtest.netbeans.org/XTest_Overview.html - 
is not up-to-date (last update is 16 Jan 2002).

You are right. More or less the architecture is the same. Of course, 'current
status' and 'future plans' sections are not accurate. There is more documents
which should be updated. I will look at it but not right now.
