Description sjangity 2007-05-16 18:49:53 UTC
Build 20070515, WinXP

1. Create a NB VWP 5.5 project that has an embedded complib
2. Close NB 5.5 and fire up NB 6.0.
3. Migrate the 5.5 settings when prompted
> During the IDE startup the informational message that the embedded complibs
are being added to the project halt the IDE startup making it highly intrusive.

Also, I've noticed in the past that if I am swapping between windows on my
Windows box, this dialog gets hidden and it was really confusing why the IDE
wasn't starting up. Our users shouldn't experience this. Is there a way to show
this message without halting the IDE during the startup?

Please see the attached image for the informational dialog I am seeing. Thanks.

Is this still a problem? Is it related to the migration and unresolved references bug? I don't really understand the
problem so could use a demo. It doesn't look like you're in your office today.

Yousef gave me a demo but I don't see a major problem with it. We were able to switch between apps and the informational
dialog was the one that was on top. Since we don't have an HIE person assigned at the time, I tried to implement
something that made sense. Perhaps we need to make the message a status message instead. However, I would like HIE input
before making such a change. So I'll change this to an RFE and P3. Feel free to make a proposal and update this issue.
