Description bugbridge 2007-05-25 02:40:08 UTC
Original status: 5-Cause Known; Suggested Status: NEW

Build 050906_2, WinXP EA2

[1] create a new project and add to it some virtual forms
> notice the vf's legend towards the bottom right of the designer window
[2] close/re-open project
> the toolar toggles off the virtual forms view (ie. vf legend and toolbar icon
are not activated)

Description (Entry 2):
Changing customer type to external as requested by user on forum:

The legend state is not persistent. Should it be?

Evaluation (Entry 2):
I think that it would be good to remember the state of the virtual forms view
(on or off) between invocations of the tool. In fact, I would expect that this
might be on a per-page basis, as once the user has started to use VF on a page,
they will most likely want to see the VF view of that page (unless they
explicitly turn it off).

Evaluation (Entry 3):
The designer view is not serializable now. Changing that, and serialize the
state of the virtual forms switch would solve the problem.

As mentioned above, the designer tab is not serializable. Investigating.
