It is not possible to invoke hint by mouse click -- instead of hint invocation, a breakpoint is always established. Issue seems to be platform specific. Steps to reproduce: ------------------- 1) Open a j2se project and a java file from it 2) Inside a method/ctor, type new AA(); or do some other action which raises hint 3) Try to mouse-click it inside gutter => BP placed --- Product Version: NetBeans IDE Dev (Build 070621) Java: 1.5.0_12; Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM 1.5.0_12-b04 System: SunOS version 5.10 running on sparc; ISO646-US; en (nb) Userdir: /space/test0 netbeans-hudson-trunk-1020-standard.zip
Does not happen on JDK 1.6.0b105.
