Description Jiri Vagner 2007-06-26 15:59:59 UTC
There is environment variable DERBY_HOME for Derby tools and startup utilities, but Java DB (Derby) support in Netbeans
IDE omits this variable. It would be cool to handle value of this variable.

It could be default value for "Settings..." dialog (Main menu -> Tools -> Java DB Database -> Settings...). Or I can
imagine button "Import from env.variable" or something like this in Setting dialog.

About environment variable DERBY_HOME: http://db.apache.org/derby/docs/dev/getstart/tgssetupjavaenvir.html

Are you saying you want NB to show you what the value of DERBY_HOME is through some menu?

What do you mean by "import from env variable"? Do you mean that NB should determine where Java DB/Derby is based on
DERBY_HOME, rather than some internal default? That makes sense to me...
